Chia Seed Secrets! Small seeds pack a large punch!!

Chia seeds are such a great source of nutrients! If you’re eating enough variety of fruits and vegetables you’ll get most of the nutrients needed to thrive. But here are some cool facts about chia seeds:

In just 3 TB (30g) there’s: 5g protein,

2.3mg iron which is more than you’ll get from a lot of other iron producing foods like spinach. 10g fiber, 9g Omega-3 which is more than you’ll get from salmon!

Lots of antioxidants and 122mg of potassium (more than you’ll get from 2 bites of a banana) which supports blood pressure!

But the most shocking for me is that you’ll get 189mg of calcium compared to the same serving size of milk where you’d only get 58 mg of calcium!!!!
